Cheers Richard, this one is from a while back and is a pre cursor to my next upload. I vowed to go up that hill in the centre one day and on our recent trip we (Beverley too) walked from Patterdale just out of shot to the left , along the bottom rising up just behind the central tree with photo stops along the way to the top before returning via the left hand summits.

After climbing that middle hill in my recent exploits Jack I'd agree with the old, not sure I have it mastered yet though. It certainly is a gorgeous place KC & Lex.

Many thanks and best wishes to you all.

Cheers Derek,it was lovely light, I started out there at 5 a.m for sunrise and some nice warm light but here's the daft bit I hadn't considered the equally high hill over the lake to my left which of course blocked the sun until it rose high enough to shine where I wanted it to :o). A lesson I won't forget ! I think we did enjoy our scramble around up there Jethro and the captured views made it worth the climb but of anything I've taken from that locale this is my best trophy and your adding a BD to it increases my satisfaction. Cheers mate !! :o)

Super photo, Sam. Y*. Methinks well-worth the wait and climb! Has that beautiful clarity I'm always looking for. Would be a lovely scene in its own right but the presence of the boat and red funnels adds some very attractive colour methinks.

Best wishes, Brian.

Thank you Brian, without the focal point of the jetty ,the beautiful sage green boats and oh yes thosee lovely attention grabbing red funnels I probably wouldn't have photographed the remainder. best wishes, Sam :o)

Thanks Adam, I was very lucky with the light and lack of wind on that day.
