The remains of a little gazebo right out in the middle of a lake. ( . . . happy birds on top enjoying the day!)

The Big Green Eagle: Such a pleasure to see you this evening. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the Gazebo and the happy white birds. I believe them to be cattle egrets. You can read about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cattle_Egret

A bit sad to see it just going to ruin but at least it's being used for something

Yes, it is very sad, Palmina, but the birds do get a lot of enjoyment sitting up there watching the world go by. You can usually always see some perched up there when you go by. It was probably really beautiful in it's day. I wish I could find some old pictures of the place. Maybe one day...

That's a lovely shot, Mary Alice. I agree with Palmina that It's sad to see the beautiful gazebo go to ruin, but for the birds it's still a very nice watch tower. Greetings, Anne

Yes, Anne, the birds LOVE it! Every time we go by, there are always birds of some sort up there enjoying the view. It's such a pretty place out there.

Thank you for your kind visit!

Greetings,

Green Irish Eagle:

Good evening! How very amusing that you saw an egret on your golfing trip! Did you think of me and my egret hang-out atop the old gazebo? ...Sweet! :)

See .... you learn something new everyday! I'm so happy that you have Egrets in Ireland! Now it's just a matter of time before you begin photographing them as well! I'll be looking forward to it.

Greetings and enjoy your night,

Well now I am entirely lost in your 'old structures' images again. This is a very nice subtle one with good contrast in the upper half. (and beautiful birds!) -alicia
