Thanks for showing some snow this winter, we had only frost! :-)

As we struggled to get to a restaurant about 20 hours earlier, I'd have been delighted to ship you the snow through which we had to make our way!

Great shot, Marilyn! You got so much snow! Looking at the thumbnail I first thought it's the Kremlin in Moscow! It's a beautiful building and I especially like those small towers. Greetings, Anne

Ahh! It just a little snow! :)

Richard Ryer on February 6, 2008

Greetings Marilyn, Wow, it looks really cold there with the snow and ice. Such a beautiful building.

Thank you, Anne, Wallace, and Rich. Just a little snow ... and to me it doesn't look as cold as the mountains you climb, Rich. But maybe I can say that because I took this from our hotel window! Greetings, Marilyn

Thanks, Hank. BTW, this is an early and very conservative attempt at HDR--so conservative it's not worth tagging as such. Is it better than I could have done editing the best of the three shots? I don't know.

What a great shot Marilyn, and a very beautiful ""militaire" building.

Greetings, Víctor

Thanks, Victor. It was nice to have this view out our hotel window!

Greetings, Marilyn

Thanks, Pam. I really enjoyed the view--took the power poles shot and the Martello tower shot through the same window, along with others I haven't posted. One or two may still show up!

Cheers, Marilyn

I don't know if you heard about that, but "Le manège Militaire " Burned last Spring. Only the exterior of the Building is ok now. Nobody knows the futur of " Manège militaire ". No plans for the moment...

So your Picture is very precious now...

I missed the news when I happened, but later somebody mentioned it in a comment on another photo which I posted, one showing just the end of the building. Very sad indeed! I've wondered whether anything had yet been decided.

Красивое фото зимы!
