Las Vegas is "fancier" for sure, but I find Reno much more relaxing and there are more activities around the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains. For people living in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, Reno is only a four hours drive. Reno at night after a whole day of skiing at nearby world class resorts is LIFE! Best regards, David
