Neighbours (Conversation) Joe Rosenthal 2001

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This sculpture by Toronto artist sits on the ground of St. Michael College, Uof T. One of the better sculptures in Toronto, is next to one of the worst sculptures in Toronto.

I will try to photograph the worst in next few days and post it here.

Joe Rosenthal was born in Moldavia/ Romania (Kishinev), but moved to Toronto at tender age of 6.

Interesting fact! Stolen: Two bronze sculptures by Toronto-based artist Joe Rosenthal.

What went down: As part of the 2002 Toronto International Art Fair, the sculptures were installed in the courtyard of Yorkville. At some point during the event they went missing. They have not been recovered. Giving the size of his statues, it is really hard to believe!! They must have weighted a ton (or two).
