Thank you Majantje. You are the first to comment on this photo, which is one of my favorites. Newfoundland is a photographer's paradise. Greetings from Miami, Mary

Mary, I love this beautiful photo for the composition, the colours and the depth of field. It opens the horizon for the things which are distant. We know that on the next and overnext islands the texture, the flowers are the same as on the one we stand; symbolic for a look into "another world", yet so close. Y*!

Kind regards, May

You are absolutely right, May. Every cove is unique, yet like every other one. Your wonderful "road" picture has the same quality of leading the eye on and on.... Did you notice the boat hidden in the foreground grass? It is a sad testament to the collapse of the cod fishing industry in Newfoundland. Best wishes, Mary

Mary, I must admit, I didn't notice it was a boat. I have heard about the factory fishing, which decimated the cod production and seen some websites about this problem in Labrador and Newfoundland. It's really dramatic. :(

Best regards, May

This is a wonderful composition Mary. I love the layers of water mingling with the land and eventually going into the horizon. The flowers are happy in their environment. I did see the boat, but I had to enlarge it as I thought it might be a plastic box.

Greetings, Amelia

Hello Mary, This is a very nice composition. I also love the blue of the water between the fresh green grass and the yellow foreground flowers. Well done.

Thank you for visiting my gallery John and for your thoughtful comment on this photo. It is one of my favorites.

Do you have scenery like this in New Zealand? I love Newfoundland, and I think I would also love New Zealand.

Amelia I'm so glad you found this picture. Thank you for your lovely comments -- I am honored.

I have camped and slept outdoors on an outcrop just like this.

Hello Mary! I'm always curious about the first picture on an account. It usually presents the taste of the photographer and its skills. And this was the beginning of a fine account. A fine and delicat picture, really love the composition because it also reminds me of holidays spent in an equal place in my younger days. I didn't sleep outdoors like you, we where in a small hotel. But i still remember the smell of the grass and the sound of the water passing by.

This comment is a little late, but this picture is timeless!

Greetings, Ed.
