So many beautiful buildings in Brooklyn. Did you live here?

Best,

Ann

Hi Ann. I'm so backed up visiting my friends' posts I'm almost embarrassed, to show up, but I really wanted to respond. This shot IS personal. It was the apartment house where my best friend lived. We met in kindergarten (where we both spent two years), and stayed friends until he passed away - too young - in 1984. I lived a couple of blocks away, Here. - Hank

But where do you live now, Hank? Dany

Thank you mayaamon. As always you are very generous with your comments.

Hi Dany. While I have a couple of photos of the apartment complex I live in now, this shot, while limited, is one of the prettier ones. I think it would be fun, at some point, to post all the places I've lived. It would cover the US from East coat to West cost. Best personal regards. Hank

I went to see the place, Hank!Yes, you could do it, if you have the photos, or you could go and take photos of the places, even if they have changed with the time. Dany

Beautiful Building Hank. Greetings, Enkarnau.

I've actually made a pretty good dent in the list Dany. Someday I will do it, and I'll be sure to let you know. Greetings Enkarnau, welcome to the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn. Best regards, Hank

I grew up here at 2195 ....and had many wonderful friends in he building and on the block. We thought Brooklyn was the most important place on earth!

Alan f on October 20, 2012

PS. What was the first name of you friend?

Hank Waxman on October 20, 2012

Greetings Alan. His name was Danny. He lived here with his mother, Aunt, younger brother and older sister. They lived on the 5th floor, but then moved to the first floor, corner apartment. Another friend from this building was Phyllis, and down the block were friends Ann and twins Barry and Michael. Danny and I met in 1949; we were four years old at the time. Welcome back to Brooklyn. Hank
