Chambered Tomb in Lower Saxony
Remains of a long, east-west oriented stone chamber with oval enclosure, size apprx. 25m x 6m. Most of the former uprights and kerbstones are out of position. Four capstones are left, they have sunken down between the shifted orthostats. Biggest capstones size 3m x 2.2m x 0.8m.
The massive capstone and two of the uprights under it have been destroyed by fire in modern times. It seems to be common that people light a fire right under the capstone.
