Said to be the last of the ancient Oaks from the 11th century Royal forest must be the oldest living Oak in Leicestershire ,its on private land and can just be seen fron the main road and one public footpath, I used an extended tripod and a good zoom.My great grandfather refered to this ancient Oak as the Lambart Oak.
I can understand your love of trees. Imagine what this tree has seen in its lifetime.
