The North Cape, Nordkapp in Norwegian, is a cape on the island Magerøya in northern Norway. With its 307 meter high cliff that is often described as the northernmost point of Europe. The polar day (aka midnight sun) is a time of year during which the sun never sets. This phenomenon occurring around the summer solstice (June in the northern hemisphere, in December in the southern hemisphere) at high latitudes beyond the polar circles.
