How can this gorgeous picture have no comments?

Well, let me be the first to say that this view is positively breathtaking. Now I am happy to say that I've been there too! :)

I just wanted to let you know that I'm back, and the trip was wonderful! I don't think I have ever enjoyed a place more. It was everything that you said it was, and so worth the journey. We went to Caladesi by ferry, and, of course, Honeymoon Island to catch the ferry. We also road all the way down the caost to the Sunshine Skyway bridge on the way home the last day. I'm only sorry to say that I didn't get to go to Ft. De Soto, and I'm still very sad about it. Maybe it will be on the next trip!

Anyway, thanks for your help before we went, and all the beautiful pictures to inspire me even more! It was a sheer delight in every way possible!

I hope this evening finds you well.

Best regards,

Mary Alice

P.S. We didn't see any snakes!

Hello Mary Alice, it's good to hear you enjoyed your trip! Hopefully you got your fill of photos and seashells while you were there! I have to say all those long Florida bridges are really an engineering marvel (meanwhile back home it's a huge multi-million dollar effort to build a new 4-lane bridge across the Mississippi). Thanks for visiting. :)

Regards, Ryan

p.s. If you get a chance to visit Ft. De Soto, be sure to walk along the paths south of the parking lot, along the beach farthest from the fort. There are some interesting things there I wish I had investigated more, but was running short of time.
