Raleigh Museum of Natural Sciences - its very blue!

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

..... it turns out that its not a tennis court nuclear reactor used for powering the downtown economy but a museum - of sorts!

It dinee luk very natural ta meh.

Its dreadful Gordon it is a futuristic take on a museum and you can keep it for my money!

No EXACTLY KC - at first glance I thought it was a nuclear power station - now I think it must have blue up!

With blue tinted glass and our ever (except at present) blue sky - its a right blue place indeed.

Cheers both - Jethro

Lovely work, Jethro. Interesting before and after shots.

Thank you Jean - I think this building is one of those you will either love or hate.

:o)

Best wishes from a dreary Raleigh - Jethro

I bet there ain't blue left for the planet. Luckily it is a good looking globe also like that ( and possibly in closer compositions too )

I've got to say Jethro I've seen nicer buildings in a chemical works, no doubt the architect got paid plenty.

David Brown Photogra… on August 12, 2012

Thank you Mostafa

Peter your point is subtle and well made! Thank you.

The globe Sixten is a film theater of some ilk on the inside. The blossom is the only thing I could find to balance the over whelming blue of it.

You are right Ian (as usual) I think they will be sorry when it is finished and they have got over the novelty!

Best wishes y'all - Jethro

I say Jethro,

The comments are a bit harsh, after all it is still in construction. I can see all the scaffolding around it, and them blue sheets are to stop the public getting hurt from them cranes on top.

It could look better when its finished.

All the best Peter

David Brown Photogra… on August 13, 2012

Gordon you are welcome - looks like you have cracked the problem in your profile and can do it comments now. Soon you will find it second nature)

You may be right on that one Peter on close inspection it is wrapped in the ubiquitous blue tarps.

I shall keep you informed.

:o)

Best wishes y'all - Jethro

Kind Regards.... .....Gordon.......
