Soon after the village's cleric migrated to the city, his house collapsed and, in less than a decade, the lonely rose bush multiplied and overtook the ruins. During my last trip to the village, the refreshing sight of the roses greatly relieved my nostalgia-induced melancholy while I remembered the happy childhood days when I enjoyed listening the humming sound of busy honey bees in the company of the cleric's children.
