Don't judge the finger nails....Kevin had just finished trying to dig out an Echidna from the sandy bank.

Giulio Thank you, I'm glad you like it.

Billy Yes we are, this is about 5 minutes drive (if that) If you zoom out a little, you'll see Skye Road above and to the left of the marker. There is a golf course, we just live to the right of the golf course so it's not far at all.

Paul Kevin will dig for anything so long as it's wildlife. When it comes to around the yard, forget it! Belated congrats for the wedding anniversary! My 30th is coming up later in the year.....if we'd killed them, we'd be out of jail by now!

mossip thank you. I don't know but I'm willing to try....I keep trying to give him away but I haven't had any takers yet. LOL

Rich Thank you for the visit. Yes he is an o.k. man..... He's got better now. When we first came here, he put his arm, up to the shoulder into a hole in the riverbank. He knows now that he was very lucky the snake wasn't home!

Cheers, to you all, Palmina

I thought Blue Tongue was just another excuse for government vets to go round shout livestock!

He's a braver man than me, Pali.

skida, on February 14, 2008, said:

That should read "shooting livestock".

Palmina Moore, on February 16, 2008, said:

LOL. I didn't think a Blue Tongue Lizard could exist either. They are weird aren't they.

Kevin is game for anything! It's the Great White Shark next. He's wanting a trip to South Australia to swim with them for his 50th. Yeah right! Only if someone else can get the shot's, I ain't going in the water!

Palmina

Lillimi, on February 16, 2008, said:

Good idea, Palmina - get the man to do the stunts and you make the photos, I must try that as well ;-) But before Kevin does the Great White Shark, get him a decent life insurance.... Greetings from Germany where the animals are harmless (but I come from South Africa which is almost as 'bad' as Australia!)

skida, on February 16, 2008, said:

Yeah, get good insurance and maybe a few tins of cat meat to attract the sharks. :)

Palmina Moore, on February 17, 2008, said:

Life Assurance....... check! Yep enough to let me live the life I've become accustomed to! LOL No. Lillimi I'd wrestle the shark first. I've got years of photo taking in front of me, can't do without the stuntman! LOL

Keith I think there'd be enough in the water not to worry about cat food if I were there, if you know what I mean. If I were there, I'm sure there'd be plenty of shouting for Hughie before I got to the swim site and then a lot more of something when I got there, if you know what I mean LOL

LOL Craig. I think we should all put our minds to coming up with Kevin's next task. :)

Hallo Palmina, What on Earth is this strange creature? I viewed your port folio and I am impressed! I also like your comments! I met you through Jacques Leicrere and I am a rather new kid on the block as far as Panoramio is concerned, and from sunny South Africa (but alas, very rainy to-night in Cape Town)Regards! Johan

Lillimi, on June 20, said:

Hi Johan, Palmina hasn't answered yet, but I though I'd let you know that this is a Blue Tongue Lizard - they are usually found in Australia. I've never seen them in S.A. - only others like geckos or normal lizards. He does look a bit nasty, but maybe he isn't as bad as he seems to be? Regards, Lillimi

Palmina Moore, on June 21, said:

Thank you Lillimi for answering Johan Yes it is a Blue Tongue Lizard. We usually have them in the gardens around here. They like to eat the snails we have around. This one was in the wildlife reserve we have just up the road from home and we were lucky enough to see two that day.

Johan Thank you very much for your kind comments. I am glad you like the folio. I will have a look at your photo's later today.

lillimi again thank you for answering and I will also have a look at your shot's later.

Regards to you both Palmina
