Fire descends Mt Darby and spreads on to Fish Creek Mt (W↑)

Variable fire severity within the fire's perimeter resulted in a mosaic burn pattern. While some areas saw extreme fire behavior that consumed all available vegetation, other portions were burned less severely or not at all.

Cwicks,

I am happy to see you took some good photos of the big Wyoming Range forest fire of 2012 and uploaded them.

Hi Ralph, I certainly hope this year will include some spring showers. I'm looking forward to the impending wildflower explosion that I'm told is predicted to occur following a forest fire.

Wyoming's fire damage pales in comparison to the 1.76 million acres that burned in Idaho last summer. Such devastation is so sad, and almost unimaginable until it happens so close to home.

cwicks,

I am hoping for a huge wildflower show too (in Central Idaho). I hope it isn't dulled by another summer of smoke. At least Central Idaho is not in the drought zone.
