The bridge between Scotland & England at Coldstream
Taken just before Christmas 2007, at around 1400 hrs, the temperature was around -5 degrees but had been around -9 degrees overnight. The River Tweed is partially frozen towards the left bank and the trees are still covered in frost.
Marvellous and pieceful scenery. The frost makes it look even more like a fairy-tale picture. I can't wait for the summer and the opportunity to explore Scottish Border region (which you depicted very well).
Thank you Ilona. Your kind comments are much appreciated. If you do get the chance to visit the Scottish Borders I am sure you will enjoy it for it is very beautiful and has many sites of historical importance. Best wishes from Scotland.
WOW What a lovely photo I love this weather. You have capture a beautiful scene. I imagine it might be similar now with snow instead of frost!
We have lots of white stuff in Lanarkshire.
Some brave wee birds on the waters edge poor things.
Hi Judith and thanks for your comments - much appreciated. Your right we do have lots of snow at the moment but I don't think it has been as cold as it was that day. Merry Christmas from the Borders.
Ewan.

bridge symbol after the referendum, or not?
Hello Angelo. I still don't like to think about what happened in the referendum. We will be free one day, hopefully soon.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Best wishes from Scotland.
