Love it! Makes you want to wait for a train!
What a perspective ... and great colors, too - I like it!
Best greetings, Erhard
Thank you DW and Erhard. I used to teach perspective at a college, and this photo actually bugs me. It's a stitched together thing, created from four photos. Due to the this, it's got one to many vanishing points, thus sending the study of perspective back 10000 years. If it had come out correctly, then this would have been a text book example of multi point perspective.
The track on the left appears to have its right rail crossing under its left in the distance, which of course could be disconcerting to those traveling on the left track; but it might signal an attempt by the rails themselves to "correct" the vanishing point for you. But anyone who can send the study of perspective back TEN THOUSAND YEARS is quite an artist in his own right! Congratulations from one who used to teach perspective in college--in literature--and had difficulty sending his students back to study for even one evening ....
I saw that too with the track that is furthest showing up brightly as it goes back in space. I went and checked my original raw photos to see if it was something caused by the stitching process. Lo and behold..... it actually looks like that in the raw photos. Not sure why.
Sort of like crepe myrtles that don't bloom when they are supposed to. Not sure why, evidently not the photographer's fault . . . .
Nice photo Richard...
