Named after you Ian? Looks like a difficult place to capture on film.

Hi Gary,

This section was named after my Grandfather, Bob Stehbens who was a teamster working in the area first at Monsildale then in Imbil - these falls being between the two locations. I understand that he rode in on crest of the range immediately east of the falls gorge and from then on talked of the fact that there was a second waterfall hidden from other view points. I recall my Grandmother telling me about these falls often, always including the mention that "there are 2 waterfalls". So you can imagine my delight when 60 years on I actually got to see the 2 falls, first from the air in Feb, then from his vantage point on the Black Gully Pocket (Range) on Easter Monday, then here beside them a week ago! I guess the fact that I led the first group of climbers, geographers and environmentalists down here allows me to claim 1% of the right to the name of this section of Yabba Falls. ;)
