Hi Skida, I was just wondering why the monster comment about the door at Cresswell Tower? It really spooked me and 2 friends because we have recently done some ghost hunting and photography at the tower and got some really clear photos of orbs. Was it to do with the legend about the White Lady? No we are not crazy - honest..... Bea.

No, it was just a joke with Crystal which started with my photo of Bothal Castle. I wasn't aware of your White Lady and her orbs (ooer....Matron!), but now I will have to go a-Googling, won't I?
Thanks for visiting and introducing a new intrigue, Bea.
ps. a friend of mine is a psychic and has done ghost hunting.

We are hoping they weren't her personal orbs as they were stuck in a tree!!:)

hi is this in creswell towers holiday park? I'm pretty sure I remember this place although I was 7 at the time.
I used to live on the holiday park (i'm not a gypsie, i swear lol, my dad used to be a manager) and I remember in the summer there'd be a bouncy castle which all the kids would play on and sometimes we'd play a random game like fox and rabbit or something like that (my memories kinda fuzzy with names XD)
basically we'd split into two groups, in one group each person would get a piece of string or something tied around their wrist and hide while the other group would run around finding them. kind of like hide and seek except when u found someone of the hiding group u rip the string off their wrist and they join your team (or something like that)
anyways...the story i heard when I lived there (1998) was something along the lines of that there was a couple that lived there and they were engaged and the guy jumped out the window and she found that he'd died and out of love for him she jumped out too so they bricked the place up to stop people from doing the same.
it's probably just another made up ghost story but I thought you'd maybe find it interesting.
although my memory is hazy and the world seems a bit different to a seven year old, i do remember the thing being a bit different but oh well shrugs

Hi nyxiepixie, first off - thanks for visiting my picture and taking the time to tell me the ghost story.
The holiday park is named after this tower and the park is on the opposite side from where I took the photo (I was in the field between the tower and the village).
The title I gave the photo was a joke with one of my Panoramio friends as I wasn't aware of the ghost story.

I live in southeast Northumberland and Cresswell is less than 30 minutes away. I am quite lucky I guess, as Northumberland is such a wonderful county.
