Porthtowan. The path went across at this point the last time I was here (early 2010)

This sort o0f coastal erosion reminds me of that in east Norfolk Andy. I first went there in March of this year, and revisited last week. Already big changes, and several properties have been demolished!

Cheers, Amelia

Very impressive.

Amelia Thank you and welcome! Yes, I am familiar with the erosion along the Suffolk coast around Dunwich and so am used to it on both sides of the country!

Kastl Glad you like it!

Benjamin Very many thanks, once again!

Best wishes, to you all, Andy

Stunning, super shot, Andy! Apart from a beautiful scene there's plenty of detail and attractive colours. Y*. Glad you were paying attention or you might have walked off the vanished path! Can easily see there has been a recent landslip here; vegetation hasn't taken a hold yet.

Best wishes, Brian.

........quite a big area too, Brian. I vaguely heard about it when I came back last summer but I didn't happen to venture on this bit of coast path, so 'out of sight - out of mind' and I wasn't expecting it. Good job there wasn't a thick sea fret (Cornish for fog or mist) here!

Very glad you approve! And thanks also for the y*.

Best wishes, Andy

'Course I "approve", Andy! Hope I don't come over as 'judging' your photos. Who am I to do that?! It's just that if a photo is a 'favourite' with me I have an overpowering compulsion to say why, which often sounds condescending and pompous. Oh dear, I know you never meant that: I'm getting to heavy now. Better stop digging! (LOL).

Cheers, Brian.

Hi Brian.

Don't worry. IN NO WHATSOEVER do you come across as 'condescending and pompous'!! I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for your input, always unfailingly cheerful and polite and willingly given!

I WORRY that I come over as incompetant and thick - especially when I know that I am light years behing most people (and all 6 year olds) when it comes to ANYTHING technological!!!

It amazes me sometimes that I can even operate my laptop!

Yours, head down in a bowl of cornflakes, Andy

nice shot Andy, this has been caused by the mining activity underneath, you can see the remains of the stopes there and a tunnel has been exposed.i went in there a year or two ago,the workings are small and backfilled in places, but i have found some really nice tin on the slopes.

Good info, kernow kid!! Many thanks - and welcome!
