Palácio da Pena - Sintra

It's a remarkable example of the Romantic architecture around the world. Ordered build in 1839 by the king consort of Portugal, D. Fernando of Saxe Coburg-Gotha, calling to lead the works the baron Eschwege, who was inspired by the palaces of Bavaria, where it was originating.
