Central United Church - Former Primitive Methodist Church, is located in the heart of historic Unionville. It was founded in 1840. The sanctuary dates back to 1879. Extensive renovations were undertaken in 1986, and it is still well maintained, as is the whole town.
The couple was probably married on Saturday, and came back on Sunday to take few more photos for the wedding album, without the crowds of relatives.
This is only one functioning church on Main Street. There are two other churches on this street. One is now a sport clothing store, with nice high ceilings, the other has a buldozer in the front and undergoing some major reconstruction.
Main Street serves as an important road for local tourism development. All along the road, the street has structures that are virtually unchanged from its founding in 1794. It was almost all demolished in 1960's, for highway bypath, but saved by few history dedicated people.
