wow, there is is a lot of water in these photos. you could stitch these two together...

Hello Berend,

What you see here is about 8M or 1/7th of the first plunge, which I believe is 170Ft (56M). But this is only the first drop, there being a total descent of 160M through the different sections as the river descends from the plateau.

It really was great to be here again, and then to abseil down into the gorge so we could explore the hidden sections of these falls.

This was the drier period of the year here, so we were quite easily able to negotiate the gorge, something that can't be done during summer wet season, Geerten.

I take your point on photo-stitching, but my problem is there was no vantage point from which I could photograph all of the falls, so a stitch would keep a couple of sections together. I love this place.
