This place brings back many reminders of my caravanning days Rob. I'm still not sure that carravanning was such a good idea. It was ok for me, but the wife and daughter hated every minute.
They never could bring themselves to tell me untill years later.
Clumber is a nice tranquil place.

Caravaning is ok when you're where you want to be; it's the slopping out,emptying the latrine, queueing at the shower block and fetching water every other hour that's the problem. It's all such a hassle. I don't see the attraction at all.
My dad was the same when we were kids. Still is a caravanner. He lugs this big 20 footer around with his merc every summer. I'm amazed you did it when your family weren't keen though. Rob
