I think the houses looked better in the old days!!

Rosalyn Hilborne on August 31, 2012

Hi Fairy, I didn't have a picture looking upwards to the New Inn but if it was in black and white it would look almost the same...except for the man in the flat cap! Cheers, Rosa.

By the way, I've posted a darker version of that lane, just for you!

Andy Rodker

I found these old photos a few months ago and I took a look at my Clovelly ones and found a few that matched the positions so thought it would be nice to show how little it has changed really.

Best wishes, Rosa.

Thank you Floere, the time difference of the pictures is around 70 years! I wish you a nice weekend too, Rosa.

Hello Rosa,I really like these two comparisons you have done, very nice. Are they your dads pictures? I am glad these old photo's have been kept. Best wishes. John.

Another Beautiful Set Rosa Like Regards Richard

Rosalyn Hilborne on September 2, 2012

Hello John, I was quite excited when I found I had a match for the top two pictures! They did belong to my father but he was born in 1922 and his interest in photography came after my parents were married. I am very pleased to have them though. Best wishes, Rosa.

Thank you Richard. The colour ones were taken with my second ever digital camera, a little Canon. Regards, Rosa.

I would love to know Ian, probably an unbelievable difference! I don't expect the fishermen and farmhands living here then earned very much though!

Ildikó Fehérváry on September 2, 2012

Hi Rosa, very beautiful montage! Interesting comparison, good idea, nice pictures!

Best regards, Ildikó

Lovely comparisons, never thought of putting them side by side!

Much easier than being directed by a link.

Why on earth do they not select such pictures for Google Earth, past and present together.

Best wishes Peter

Rosalyn Hilborne on September 5, 2012

GE don't seem to like collages Peter. Although to my surprise I have got one on GE! I'm pleased you approve.

Best wishes, Rosa.

Great idea Rosa, it doesn't really change much this place, been there a few times, the last time though I was sure the road was much steeper than before! :)) Like

Thank you Nick. Thankfully it doesn't change too much...but I know that feeling ;-)

Thanks for your like.

Regards, Rosa.
