That photo was taken from the dock at my(departed) Uncle's house Arnt Hansen. To the left of the photo is the small access road to the hostel, my uncle's house was right across from that, about 20 meters max from the photographer. I was last there in 1978

J&P Yes my family is from the area. My mother, Undis, was born in Valberg a short drive from there. My Onkle Rolf and other cousins still live near Stamsund. Other family lives in Stavanger and Oslo. One Aunt in Sweden... far from Holland... try getting there from Californis LOL
It's an old-old picture, late 70' - begining 80'. I was there first in 83 or 84, and that picture already exists. I've been there for the 10th time for 2000 new year evening. It has changed a lot in between. I hope Roar still fine.

Very fond memories of staying at this youth hostel during midnight sun - have been there twice now. What a beatufiul part of the world.
