Urban infill is all the go in the inner suburbs of Perth - this former wooden weatherboard house had been used as a childrens' day care centre until the end of 2007. In February 2008 the house was cut in half and loaded onto two jinkers to be recycled as a fashionable dwelling somewhere else. The quarter acre block is to become public open space as perceived 'solution' to the social problems generated by urban infill. The photo was taken at sunset and is facing to the west.
