Dear Mick, many thanks for the dedication, I feel honoured! Sure this place brings back a lot of memories! What concerns the cottage, I have it with Dean, I'd prefer it to an apartment block. :)

Some carpinter's and thatcher's work is all that is needed for the moment, the interior can be done in tranquility over the next 10 years. ;)

When I was at Omey Island, I had a hired car, totally new and black, the thorns tried to get at me and the car, not only did I fear scratches, I felt uneasy, that I might be cut off and couldn't get back in time to the main land because of the high tide. For someone like me from a locked-in country and travelling alone across the sands, it was a real adventure. ;))

Next time, I'd be a lot cooler! ;)

Thanks again with my best wishes, May

Hi May, It was your shots on GE that inspired me to take the family to check out Ormy while we were visiting the area. We left the car on the mainland and walked across the beach to the island which is a beautiful spot. I would like to have explored it a bit more but luckily we turned back as the tide comes in very fast and we had to wade knee deep through it to get back, which was exciting ;>).

I would love to think we might get back there soon but in reality there are a good few other interesting places on the list before we get around to revisiting.

I hope it brought back happy memories for you.

Cheers Mick
