I realised why you had the mill so far left and in some earlier offerings that didn't work because the sky was bland as was the water. In this and the one you have just cropped narrow the sky is the saving grace together with of course the wonderful backdrop. I like the cropped version now that you have gone all the way because it makes the most of those prcious elements regardless of whether it can be seen zoomed on the new button. Simply screen width is ample for seeing it with the original allowing a scroll around still for those wanting to scrutinise the minutia. Back to this new offering I actually don't think the other buidings are so detrimental to the scene and this angle has afforded some lovly extras by way of the reflections in the smooth water so your crop this time is very much ideal. My only sugestion here would be to darken slightly and bring out some more detail in that water bottom right. I'd do an example but appear to have lost your email address. The main thing is you have tried multiple variants and have achieved a couple of excellent results from that while realising a few pointers along the way. Good work !

Dean Matthews, yesterday, said: Hi Sam Many many thanks for your help and encouragement - it really is very much appreciated - I'll send on my email there now - cheers :) Dean

Dean Matthews, yesterday, said: Hi Richard :) Hows the head? :) On this one the light had already gone from the hills so I had nothing to lose in pushing the contrast settings up a bit and making the most of the sky, - on the other ones I couldnt do that too much without it really messing up whatever detail I had in the hill range - I do like this one myself despitethe visitor center/restraunt getting in on the act :)

Pontecaffaro, yesterday, said: I think the other shot, with the mill more on the left is the better photo, at least in my opinion:) However, this one is very nice as well! Have a nice evening! Dirk Jan
