Albert, I saw some photos of other european cities, and it's quite similar. I think almost of the houses uses this kind of terrats. It's beautiful this kind of view.
Hello Man, you have reason. This kind of roofs with red tiles is very usual in old european cities and villages, mainly in central Europe, France and north of Spain and Italy. "Terrats" is the catalan (my first language) name for roofs, "telhados" in portuguese, I think. I like also this kind of view.
