Coffee Mill - Leinbrock Werke Ideal - circa 1960

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

I brought this coffee grinder from Vienna in 1978. Somehow the coffee tasted better, after I made an effort to grind it my self....

I used it a lot, but not lately.

LEINBROCK, in Gottleuba (Sachsen) Germany, made a lots of coffee griders. This one is probably not rare (1955-60?)- it sells on ebay for $49.99. I paid about $10.

This photo was in NPC competition Sept 2012, Mills -6 votes, rank 31.

I usually do not stage photos, but there is not water mill or wind mill in my neck of woods. This is probably the only Coffee grinder selected for G.E.!!!

There are mostly wind mills so far. I usually do not stage photos, but there is not water mill or wind mill in my neck of woods.

Hello Tomros. My grandmother also has such an old mill. But the older, built around 1946. It is still used today regularly. And the coffee is actually better than the already ground from the supermarket or coffee shop.

Great composition.

Greetings ;)

It is really strange, some coffee grinders last 100 years, some, the new electric ones will survive the warranty of 1 year max!

Let call it Progress. ;-)
