n Fact, I grew up not 200 feet from this trestle. This was originally part of the ROW from Newark Broad Street Station to the CNJ's Main Line from Jersey City through the "Meadowlands" and points South. This particular trestle crossed NJ RR Avenue, Bruen Street, McWhorter Street, Union Street, and ultimately Ferry Street (I have at least 1 photo from the late 1960's which I WILL post). This trestle was preserved to be an access to parking for the Prudential Center east of the Northeast Corridor, but in typical Jersey fashion, never got funded because the money was diverted to some polititican(s) bank account.

Thank you shurelas I really wish that this was to be a rail trail or Light rail use for today. But that Pru Center, parking lots, and countless homes / apartments lie on the old ROW, even my doctor that I still go to is right on the old ROW here is my doctors office in this building on Somme Street
