Makes me want to visit
Well whats stoping you?? :)
Was there much snow left at the lake? I have not made it up there since last October. I go on vacation in 2 weeks and this is one place I want to re-visit.
Thanks again for looking at my image.
Thanks for the information. It should be real nice there.
I have a new standard to try to achieve in my pictures now:
"try to get a shot at least HALF as good as this Michael Hatten guy whose picture of Trillium I saw on GoogleEarth!" :)
After my humble attempt to capture the beauty of Trillium, now I want to try it again! :)
Did you use HDR on this? It HAS to be one of the prettiest places on earth, but you have a real eye to capture what you did as well, and you waited for just the right conditions and moment.
Congratulations on an incredible picture!
Thankyou for thinking so highly of my images.
There are many great photographers here on PanOramio. Look through my Favorites and you'll find lot of others photographers.
As for this photo this is a 3 image stich panoramic of Trillium Lake and it was before I could do any HDR (High Dynamic Range) work. Most of my realy good images were taken during the sweet light. A time of about an hour before and after sunrise or sunset.
HDR has opened another door for me because I have allot of photos that I bracketed ( 3 photos taken, 1 overexposed, 1 under and 1 right on )and with an HDR program I can blend them together. Now I can say good bye to blown out skies and underexposed foregrounds.
I just uploaded a series of photos that I used HDR on. This one of Trillium Lake and Hood was with HDR
Thankyou for the your kind words!

Awesome photo Michael -- I also like your sunset picture of this same scene.
Thanks for the kudos.
But I dont have a sunset shot from this area..HHmm
Which one are you refering to?
I saw this one nearby on the map Michael and thought it was a sunset.
Even better that it is a sunrise 8^)
Good catch of moment.
No kidding! I was only able to get off about 10 shots before the clouds covered over the mountain and rain began.
Thanks for the commment!
Nice shot, Michael ! Being a good photographer is great, also need luck , that mountain gets wrapped in cloud in no time !
funny you mentioned it because the clouds did end up covering the mountain and it began raining soon after..
