In front of the D-Day museum in Southsea is this Churchill Mk6 tank. It was a heavy British infantry tank used in WW2 and was best known for its heavy armour, large longitudinal chassis with all-round tracks with multipal bogies. It was one of the heaviest Allied tanks of the war. It was used by the British and Commonwealth in North Africa, Italy and North-West Europe. In addition many were supplied to the USSR and used on the Eastern Front. Not a way I would have liked to go to war I'm afraid!
