This ship was a Royal Navy screw-propelled 51-gun frigate launched in 1855 with a crew of 510 men. She saw action during the Second Opium War (no, I've never heard of it either), and this is a memorial to her losses. She was a flagship to the British China Squadron in 1961 and that squadron is also new to me!!!
