The Spinnaker is a 170-metre landmark tower making it the tallest accessible structure in the UK outside London. It represents sails billowing in the wind. Construction began in 2001 and it was completed in mid-2005. Domus Dei (Hospital of St Nicholas) was an almshouse and hospice established in 1212 and it is now known as the Royal Garrison Church and is an English Heritage property and a listed ancient monument.
