Thanks, This is one of my first 3 photos I ever shot. I believe it was taken back in 1996 or 1997.
Very Pretty area and a very easy hike. About 1-2 mile round trip with very little elevation.
This is a favorite place.

Beautiful falls. Do you know what time of the year you shot this? I'm thinking of making the trek up there from southern California and I don't want to waste the trip. Thanks for posting the great photos.

The Mckenzie Pass Hwy Is filled with snow until about the 4th of July. around that time ODOT finishes plowing out the snow where the road carves it's way up and through the lava fields at the pass.
There are 4 snow gates 3 to the west and 1 to the east. The two at the top will open last. but the other two on the west side will open sooner as the snow melts. If the Gate at NFD 240 Road is open you can get to proxy falls with no problem.
Check out The Oregon Department of Transportation web site

for more information and even call them to see if any of the gates have been opened.
As for when I took this photo I think it was late Summer early Fall.
Thanks for looking..
Check out some of my other images of the Old Mckenzie Hwy.
