Grasmere was where we went next Richard via the winding road up through Church Stiles and of course we had to call in for some Nelson's gingerbread :0)

Cheers :0)

One of my all time favourite photos of yours Sam(the ones I've seen so far that is!). Just terrific all round, helped by my fondness for the Langdale area.

Magnificent!!!

Best wishes, Andy - and an easy decision for a ysl of course.

Sumptuous shot Sam (which as you know is one up from a bobby dazzler).

Just flaming gorgeous and as Neil says - loads to look at.

We used to spend our Christmases around here in a rented barn. Cold and unsafe it was but we were happy!

Keep up the good work - Jethro

Good work Sam, you make a mundane landscape look so alluring.. great camera skills.!

Neil Grimwood on September 19, 2012

Sorry Gasgas, I can't agree with you there, its far from mundane there's a lot to see in there. I'm with you the rest of the way though, great work Sam, I see there's also a hint of Autumn too mate.

It's a nice landscape Sam, not mundane in my eyes by any means plenty to look at, only thing better is to see it first hand.

Wonderful panorama and stunning colours. The threatening sky adds a lot to the photo. Regards Derek

My sincere thanks to Richard, Neil A, Mostafa, Jethro, Andy, Lex, Neil G, Ian amd Derek for the lovely comments, likes and faves, they are all very much appreciated. This was done on a laptop and now back home I am nowhere near as pleased with it as I was and I can see a new version being on the cards in the same way I have already dealt with my other offering from this area.

Kindest regards and best wishes to you all.

some scene there Sam - I knew it was pointless looking at this on the ipad and it certainly would have been.

Its certainly breathtaking countryside as it is, but you have done some work in capturing it.

PS I had a good scout round for evidence of gardening and could see any ;)

Yorkshire Sam on September 26, 2012

No need to alter the vegetation here Dean :o)but I did hide a car or two. Cheers for the compliment which adds to my happiness with this one. It's a shot I never expected to work since it was quyite breezy and the foliage was moving constantly.
