Thanks Norfolkeye - to my shame, I haven't read Hardy yet (I've lived in Dorset 5 years now, too), but it's not a million miles from Studlnd Heath, which I believe Egdon was based on. It's a photo I wanted to take for a long time before I finally got round to it. Regards, Graham
