Really beautiful shot with strange fantastic mist (the waves ?)

The water looks magic! Great colours too. What exposure time did you use for this?

Thank you, Corbeau Rouge and Snemann, for visiting and for all your nice comments.

This photo is a time exposure over several seconds, which turns the motion of the waves into a fantastic mist. Several attempts to make this shot were ruined when the waves slapped my tripod and blurred the image. I also had to time the exposure to coincide with the flashing of the lighthouse beacon.

The exposure was at my camera's minimum aperture of f/11 using a polarizing filter to reduce the light still further. This allowed a shutter time of 20s that really blurred the wave motion, giving it that dream-like quality.
