This is definitely a different view, although you seem to have completely missed the Seven pretty Sisters on your left! :) Like.

P.S. This is Cuckmere not Seaford!

brian gillman on October 16, 2012

Never fear, Nick! I took photos of the "pretty sisters" too. These couple of houses interested me; looked as though they might be available for holiday lettings. Not for long probably! Too close to cliff edge getting closer!

Best wishes, Brian.

Wonderful place. Anything anyone does so the houses don´t fall off the cliff? LIKE

I've heard this is a coastguard's cottage, Eva. The cliff-face below the cottage has been 'protected' and 'strengthened' by a coating of concrete from top to bottom but, as Nick says, it's probably only a matter of time. Topically, there was a news item only a day-or-two ago about a lady who bought a 6-bedroom mansion-like cliff-top house overlooking Oddicombe Beach here in Torquay, Devonshire. Because of it's precarious position she got the house for a bargain price of £150,000. Sadly, only 1 week later, there was a massive rock-fall at the bottom of her garden only 50ft from the house. 5000 tons of rock collapsed onto the beach 300ft below. The house is now rendered unlivable and is worth only £3,500! There's a moral here somewhere!

Best wishes, Brian.

THis is what happens with bargain prices. Ah, and time... or should I write TIME!
P.S. I am so glad that Panoramio is working again!

Very nice shot!

Friendly greetings from Greece-Piraeus.

Many thanks, Nikos. Everyone's dream, to live in a cosy cliff-top house overlooking the sea? Could soon turn into a nightmare though! The erosion of the cliffs all along here is happening at a frightening pace.

Best wishes, Brian.
