Great photo. could you give me more details on location and age perhaps? may I have permission to use on my private family tree, simply to show some places in Stoke On Trent where my ancestors were born and worked in potteries. thank you very much!

Hi there. The clock tower is in the centre of Stoke Town Centre, not to be confused with Stoke on Trent City Centre, on the market square beside South Wolfe Street beside what is now the indoor market. The clock tower forms the centre of the old Stoke Town market, which is now a modern library. I am not really sure of its age although I have been advised it was built around the Victorian Era. I took the photo before they started to build the library. To be honest the library does enhance the area somewhat, but being a stickler for old buildings I would have preferred it to have been left standing alone in any regeneration scheme. You are more than welcome to use the photo, as long as you don't sell it on for millions as I will want a share of the fortune(!!!!!). Take care and thank you for the compliment.
