I like the frame too.Ciao
Superb !!! Golden star !
Thank you, Daniela and Jacques, and special thanks, Jacques, for the star. I'm glad that I've returned (in memory) to this extraordinary place. Greetings, Marilyn
Wow, that is extraordinary architecture! So many spired domes, all going up, up, up. What fascinates me is that the body of the church is like a log cabin rather than the stone I would expect. I suppose stone has always been expensive, a sign of wealth and power, and it's not possible to build with stone in every place. Greetings, Ryan
There was certainly a good supply of timber, and apparently a strong tradition of skilled woodworkmanship, if that's a word! The story is that, after he built this church, the craftsman threw his tools in the lake saying that there would never be another like it! Greetings, Marilyn

It looks much the same now Marilyn, the logs are all still tagged as in this photo - I think in preparation for eventual repairs. No doubt there is a shortage of funds... I like this view!
Thank you, Daniel and Chris.
I do hope they are able to do the repairs someday. It's such an amazing place!
