Wow! I finally get a comment on my Big Basin shots! This is a gorgeous redwood park, California's oldest state park in fact (est. 1902), with thousands of acres of huge trees and many waterfalls. It has surprisingly little coverage on Google Earth.
That trunk is about 7 feet diameter, larger at the base.

Thank you, hamzars - this park is many thousands of hectares of old-growth forest, redwoods and Douglas firs, giants trees and beautiful streams witn waterfalls. It is a true gem.

Actually, this park is farther south, as shown on the map - this is Big Basin Redwoods Park, and if anything the trees here are even bigger and grander. Some trees here are much higher than 300 feet. This park also has beautiful waterfalls - if you click on the "Big Basin" tag you will several of them :-)
