Thank you S.M.Tunli. I'm not widely traveled outside the U.S., but Bergen is one of those cities I had the privilege od visiting. It is truly a beautiful place. You are very lucky to live there, and you have done it justice in your selection of photos.

hauxtana, on July 12, 2007, said:

Great shot; I can truly sympathize: I was there in March and like an idiot left my tripod in the car. Most of my shots are kinda shaky and blurry from trying to stabilize myself against the canyon walls, but I did get a few that turned out real well... I should post mine, too, I suppose.

Hank Waxman, on July 16, 2007, said:

By all means do so. I'd love to see them. All of us who visited without a tripod, I'm sure, were frustrated, but the color and light were so dramatic that I felt flash would ruin it. I'm grateful for the ones I got, but only posted a few of them. Bring 'em on.

Espetáculo da natureza, água, vento e sol transformando em perfeita escultura, excelente registro!!!

Hank Waxman, on July 30, 2007, said:

Obrigado para o elogio. Você está correto sobre a água e o vento que deram forma a esta do "garganta entalhe." O sol não participou a não ser que fornecesse o lighting muito dramático para minha foto.

Great shot Hank!! Antelope Canyon must be a very special spot! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Hank Waxman, on August 7, 2007, said:

Hi Dick and Herma. The canyon is actually quite small; only about 350 feet. It was created by water seeping between two sandstone "rocks," and later aided by the wind. It was quite a treat visually. Thanks for visiting.

Greetings from NJ-USA Sebastian, jymsm123 and Marian. I am very glad that you enjoyed your visit, through my picture to northern Arizona. While not as famous as the Grand Canyon, the Antelope Canyon gives people a much different perspective on the American southwest. Thanks for your comments,

Hank Waxman, on January 6, 2008, said:

Hi stevenfordesign, thanks for visiting. Actually I had searched for the Antelope (Slot) Canyon for a number of years, but always managed to drive by it. In '05 I went to the Visitor's Bureau and asked where it was, and then took a tour so as not to miss it again. Cheers,

Hank, congratulations....... It's my favorite pic. I hope, one day, I can see antelope valley live. andy

Hank Waxman, on January 21, 2008, said:

Andy ,with your skill at photographing sunsets, you'll do well with the limited light inside the canyons. Note thare are two. I visited the lower canyon, and was lucky that I hit it around noon when the lighting is optimal.

I regretted not having left enough time for the upper canyon as well, so I want to return. Leave enough time, and then go and enjoy the beautful landscapes around Lake Powell.

Yes nikosey, This is a remarkable place. The trick here is to NOT use flash. It flattens the colors. Thanks for you wonderful comments.
