The Brick Maria Asumpta was built in 1858 by Pica from Badalona (Catalunya). This 38m long ship was very popular during European maritime festivals. It was the oldest tall ship still sailing.
31 may 1995 : she ran aground and broke up on the north Cornish coast, near Padstow, and sank in a few minutes. Three of her sixteen crew were lost. RIP
