✯ Paraná de las Palmas

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The Parana Delta is in a geographical sense, a transition between Mesopotamia and pampas. However, with respect to their biome, in contrast to the two regions, because despite its southern location, the presence of large bodies of water and the low altitude produces a microclimate that favors the proliferation of animal and plant species that resemble tropical latitudes (eg, arm deltaic called Parana de las Palmas is named because the arrival of Europeans in the sixteenth century proliferated pindó palm groves).
