Message from Planet of crazies-for-the-windows to Marilyn: "I love your shots".

Thank you, Pepe. You must know that I love windows, too! Greetings, Marilyn

Beautiful photo photo, Marilyn! It's a wonderful building, and to see it through the window bars and past the sill, it's special.

I wonder, would it be possible to scoot just a bit to the left, to catch the small tower through the large diamond? Or would such a move cause the tower to be blocked by the sill? A pity it's not just an easy drive away to find out. :) Of course, that move would probably also lose most of the tree; and the composition is interesting in another way just like it is, splitting the tower into four pieces.

Greetings, Ryan

I like the composition very much!

It's interesting how the photographer, too, can wonder about the composition after a year and a half! I wondered when I was getting ready to post the shot. I imagine I saw that the tower would have been covered too densely by the tree if I'd moved to the left, and I also don't know what distractions may have been lurking to the right!

I had special motivation for taking this picture. I'd paid for a ticket to use my camera in the museum in the monastery. The icons here were historic and wonderful, but the light was too low to get sharp photos. (No tripods allowed, not that I'd brought one with me.) So I was looking around to see whether I could find anything that justified the ticket purchase!!

I'm glad you like it, Ryan and Roger.

Greetings, Marilyn

Thank you, Annick, for your kind words. I am guessing that you would also like to get value for your money! Greetings, Marilyn
