Lovely, gentle shot of a classic, old Ontario house. Is it stucco, with the lath showing through? Marilyn

Collingwood, at least Blue Mt., got at least 40 cm of fresh snow and it was still snowing on my back -roads jaunt. This abandoned farmhouse looked intriguing. The falling snow softened the shot, but it was too deep to tramp up and get some closer shots of the lath work.

Lovely shot George Sad isn't it that it is so unloved.

In the past it was pretty difficult to farm some of the areas around the escarpment and, I guess as is common elsewhere, if there were young people, they usually wanted to do other pursuits than farming. This will probably be torn down and a large weekend home replace it. However,it makes a nice subject for a photo, don't you think?

Beautiful, bittersweet shot, George. MY door was salmon-pink... Actually, it still is. New owners never painted it, so my 45-years old drawings are found intact:)
Cheers, Inessa

Hello, Inessa. I saw this house as I drove by and then I made u-turn and got my camera out (shielding it from the snow flurries). Thanks for the visit.

Hi, Julie (I love this name, by the way). Thanks for the visit. Ontario does have some great places, both rural and urban, for photography.
