Marilyn, Thank you so very much. I'm glad that you too enjoyed the old gas pump. I seem to keep running into them now that I'm actively looking for them. I just think they're neat.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Nostalgic photo... Conversion to BW gives it an older character, excellent job!

Congratulations and regards

Pura vida!!!

mrsb, Wow, I sure do wish that I could read Spanish. Unfortunately I am at a total loss. I thank you very kindly for stopping by, and I wish so much that I could read what you wrote. I hope that maybe you can read this. Sincerely, Maria

Alice, that note was for me. Not sure why he posted it on one of your comments, but there you go.

I was in Costa Rica a couple of years ago, and he lives there. We posted similar pictures and established a dialog.

If you'd like to translate this, here's THE LINK to the Google online translator (and you thought I was multi-lingual didn't you?)

Paul

PS: your name in Spanish would probably translate to Maria Alicia - a lovely combination, don't you think?

MaryAlice, on February 25, 2008, said:

Paul.... what a wicked crafty boy your are! I did think you were multi-lingual. I'm still trying to figure out how everyone is leaving these cool links in Blue and such! You guys are far more advanced than I, but I'm just sitting back taking it all in.

Maria Alicia rocks! I'm digging it.

Aw, I keep giving away ALL my secrets!

Her's another one. Put the words you want in blue inside square brackets [LIKE THIS] then immediately behind that put the website address in regular brackets (www.LIKE THIS). When you post the comment, all you will see is the words in the square bracket in blue. Clicking on the blue words takkes you to the link.

HERE'S an example that will take you to one of mine.

Paul, Pablo, Paolo, etc.

Great, nostalgic shot, MaryAlice. I have one in red that I haven't posted, but I like the monochrome. You should consider a tag for 'monochrome' as there are many on Panoramio who like to browse this tag.

George:

Thank you very much! I'm so glad that you appreciate the old finds as well! I have a large passion for all the wonderful gems from the past.

Thank you for your suggestion for the Momochrome tag. A point well made and I will do it right away.

Thanks you again for stopping by, and I hope you'll come again.

Have a great day.

Most sincerely,

MaryAlice

Greetings, Eva!

I'm so glad that you've enjoyed this wonderful old pump! It has quite a lot of character, doesn't it? Too bad the gas prices can't be this way again. We'd have it made. :)

Thank you for your kind visit.

Greetings,

Mary Alice
